Practice

Across the four works, sources, constraints, and reader actions do not disappear behind the finished surface. Their consequences remain available to read.

The work often begins when a material no longer fits its first container. A source grows too charged for a footnote; a short poem asks for darkness around it; a dramatic scene begins to behave like a procedure. Sometimes the instrument built to hold these transformations becomes a work in its own right.

No fixed sequence joins research, writing, interface, and code. Their relation is composed anew for each work.

01

Research can return

Speculative research poetry begins with a source under pressure. Its origin and limits remain visible, yet the material can still enter another arrangement.

In The Black Bird, a research scene becomes a returnable object rather than a footnote left outside the work. The field can answer that scene through another arrangement without pretending to verify it. The distinction matters: research keeps the material accountable, while poetic form changes how its pressure can be felt and followed.

02

Writing through constraints

Generative writing places authorship in the conditions of recurrence. The writer determines the available material. Possible transformations are shaped in advance. Relations and temporal changes are composed rather than left unnamed.

Grave-Machine demonstrates the pressure of one such construction. TAROKE RIMIXER opens that construction for composition and revision. Chance remains active, but it does not arrive without a ground prepared for it.

03

The interface carries consequence

An interface does more than deliver the text. It decides when something can be seen, how long it remains, and what the reader can carry forward.

Movement leaves a route in The Black Bird. In Winter Road, nearness decides what can be read. Grave-Machine holds the poem beside its trace, while TAROKE RIMIXER opens the act of composition itself. The browser takes on a different literary task in each case.
